Summary

Page generation classes coming along strong. PHP classes create the needed XHTML. Source is both formatted and will validate at W3C. The nearly complete version can be seen here.

Playing with a new online game called Trukz. Seems like a nice diversion. You can see it here:

I finally got the XHTML page generation PHP classes to create indented source. It looks very nice in FF but your milage may vary. Since the content is still hard wired in the generator classes as switch statements it is far from dynamic. Currently, I am working on the PHP container classes. When they are complete they will be passed as lists defined as pagename => content array. That way, the generators will have a blueprint for building the page and content can be progmatically created as needed. Static content will be passed as an array of line strings. Markup will be handled internally at that point.

I think the CSS / DIV / COLGROUP setup will work the way I want. I still need to flesh out the CSS classes a bit to get everything under control. All that is left is to link to the PHP function that will take an HTML file and create a syntax highlighted version for display. The page to be displayed could be marked up with the editor markup or straight HTML that will be placed in the body of the created page.

Most of the static backbone has been filled in. I still need to add the content to the code and discussion section. Working on the code display pages for something I like for the display.

Well, that’s my kick off speach. If you found this early, check back every week or so until October. If it isn’t full of content by then I will be suprised. I can also be found wandering the halls at GIDForums.com as Cable_Guy_67. If you are looking for a place to have your C or C++ questions answered, it is a good place to start. There are quite a few forums concerning topics about programming and webmastering.
